Legal Aid

We are authorised by the Legal Aid Agency (LAA) to give free legal help and assistance to individuals and families who cannot privately fund our Housing and Immigration services. Access to Legal Aid is subject to eligibility criteria. If you qualify for legal assistance, you do not have to pay for our services.


Subject to an income and savings assessment, you may be eligible for legal help. You may qualify for legal aid if you get:

Universal Credit (UC)
Income Support
Income Based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
Income Related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
Guarantee Credit

If you are eligible for legal assistance, you do not have to pay us for carrying out work on your behalf.

The Work

If you qualify for legal assistance, you matter will be assigned to the relevant Immigration or Housing team for an initial case assessment.

Who Will Carry Out The Work?

Our Legal Aid Department will assign your matter to the most experienced and suitable solicitor. The solicitor with conduct of your matter will contact you to conduct an initial eligibility assessment of your matter.

Cost Information

If you qualify for legal assistance, you do not need to pay us for the work that we do for you.
